Valve confirms there is no cause for concern!

By VolKan @ Apr 22 2020 - 10:42 PM

Official information has been released

We apologize for the confusion but it appears that there aren’t any reason to panic or stay off TF2, Valve is still investigating further but are certain that playing their games are as safe as always and therefore we are opening our servers again.

[Servers] Lock-down initiated as a precaution

By AI @ Apr 22 2020 - 02:01 PM

We have imposed a player lock-down on the servers as a precaution for any undisclosed RCE exploit vulnerabilities as a result of the Source Engine code leak.

While we have not yet observed credible evidence of any such exploits in the wild, we have opted to act proactively to protect our players until we hear back from Valve about this issue.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

Major Security Risk!

By VolKan @ Apr 22 2020 - 09:32 AM

This is not a chain message, this should be taken very serious!

As some of you may know there’s been a huge source leak meaning all games running source are now super vulnerable against nefarious purposes, and if you play TF2, CSGO, or any other source game you’re taking a major security risk, we advise all our players to take a break from these games until further updates come out, and for those reasons we’re also shutting down our servers later tonight.

It’s true that there is no official information yet and theres alot of uncertainties and ‘proof’ that it’s a hoax, but we’re choosing to stay on the safe side untill further information is available.

Stay safe!
